Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 31, 2026

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Beehived ("Beehived", "we" or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit www.beehived.io or use the Beehived platform (together, the "Site"). It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data in general.

In short: we only use what we need to run the Site. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't currently use analytics cookies.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way: they let a website keep small pieces of information on your device.

  • Session items are deleted when you close the tab or the browser; persistent items stay for a set period or until you delete them.
  • First-party items are set by the website you are visiting; third-party items are set by other companies whose services that website uses.

3. How Beehived uses them

3.1 Strictly necessary

Signing in and security. When you sign in, your session is kept in your browser's local storage, so that you stay signed in as you move around the Site. Without it, you could not sign in to your account.

Sign-up and checkout. While you create an account and choose a plan, we keep a few details in session storage, such as the plan you picked or the code from your invitation, so they are not lost between steps. They are deleted as soon as you close the tab.

Because the Site cannot work without these items, they can't be switched off from the Site.

3.2 Preferences

In your account area, a small cookie remembers whether the side menu is expanded or collapsed, so the layout stays the way you left it.

3.3 Analytics and advertising

We don't use advertising cookies and we don't let advertising networks place cookies on the Site. We don't currently use analytics cookies either. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy before we do so and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

3.4 The items we use

4. Services run by other companies

Some steps take place on pages or services run by other companies. They may set their own cookies, under their own policies, which we do not control:

  • Microsoft runs the account sign-in pages. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Stripe runs our secure checkout and processes payments, including fraud prevention. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Didit runs the optional identity verification. See Didit's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts delivers the typeface used on the Site. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which receives your IP address in the process. See the Google Fonts privacy FAQ.

5. Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies and clear stored site data at any time from your browser settings. Keep in mind that blocking the strictly necessary items will stop sign-in, sign-up and checkout from working.

Because we don't use tracking cookies, browser signals such as "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control don't change how the Site behaves.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we change the technologies we use or when the law requires it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
